Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. Every building is custom quoted based on the size, features, location, and requirements of your project. There is no obligation to request a quote.
Are your buildings custom built?
Yes. Every building is configured around your needs. You can customize the width, length, height, roof style, colors, doors, windows, insulation, lean-tos, and many other features.
What types of buildings do you sell?
We offer custom garages, workshops, barns, agricultural buildings, carports, RV covers, storage buildings, and larger commercial structures.
Can I design my building online?
Yes. Our 3D design tool lets you experiment with building sizes, colors, roof styles, doors, windows, and other options before requesting a quote.
DELIVERY & INSTALLATION
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOU ORDER
Is delivery and installation included?
Our buildings are professionally delivered and installed by experienced manufacturers and installers. Your quote will outline what is included for your specific project and location.
Does Choice Metal Buildings perform the installation?
Choice Metal Buildings is your factory direct building dealer and customer contact. Manufacturing and installation are performed by our experienced partner network, while our customer service team remains active & available to help with communication, questions, and issue resolution throughout the process.
Where do you install?
Buildings are available across 48 states, subject to specific service areas, engineering requirements, local building codes, and site conditions.
How long does installation take?
Installation timing varies by location, building size, season, permitting, site readiness, manufacturing workload, and weather. Your sales representative can discuss the current estimated schedule for your area before you order.
SITE PREPARATION & PERMITS
GETTING YOUR PROPERTY READY
What can my building be installed on?
Depending on the building and location, installations may be possible on concrete, asphalt, gravel, properly prepared ground, or other approved surfaces. Requirements can vary based on engineering, building size, and local conditions, so we’ll help you determine what your project requires.
Does the site need to be level?
Yes. The installation area should be properly prepared, level, accessible, and ready before the installation crew arrives. Specific preparation requirements depend on the building and foundation type.
Do you provide concrete?
Choice Metal Buildings does not directly pour concrete, but we can help you understand the foundation requirements for your building and may be able to help coordinate concrete resources depending on the project and location.
Do I need a building permit?
Permit requirements vary by city, county, and state. The property owner is responsible for determining and obtaining any required permits before installation. We can provide building information to help with the process.
Are engineered plans available?
Generic engineered stamped plans are available for qualifying buildings after the order has been finalized. Some jurisdictions may require additional engineering, structural calculations, or site-specific documentation that can involve an additional fee.
Will my building meet local building codes?
Buildings can be configured for applicable wind, snow, and engineering requirements in many areas. Because local codes vary, customers should verify requirements with their local permitting authority before finalizing the order.
ORDERING, DEPOSITS, & FINANCING
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER
How much is the deposit?
Deposit requirements vary depending on the building and order. Your quote and sales agreement will clearly show the deposit amount and remaining balance before you purchase.
Is my deposit refundable?
Deposits are generally non-refundable once an order has been placed. An exception may apply if the appropriate county permitting office formally denies the required building permit or you have a specific agreement approved by management before you place your deposit. Please review the terms on your sales agreement before placing your order.
How long is my quoted price good for?
In many cases, your building price can be locked for up to six months after ordering. Ask your sales representative about the terms that apply to your specific quote.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer access to traditional financing through HFS Financial as well as a no-credit-check lease-to-own option through RTO National.
Does Rent-to-Own require a credit check?
RTO National offers a lease-to-own option that does not require a traditional credit check. Eligibility, terms, and availability are determined by RTO National.
Can I change my building after I place the order?
Changes may be possible depending on how far the order has progressed, but changes can affect pricing, engineering, scheduling, and manufacturer requirements. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.
BUILDING OPTIONS & CUSTOMIZATION
MAKE THE BUILDING FIT YOUR NEEDS
Can I choose my building colors?
Yes. A variety of roof, wall, trim, and wainscot color options are available depending on the building configuration and manufacturer.
Can I add doors and windows?
Yes. Buildings can be configured with roll-up doors, walk-in doors, windows, frame-outs, and other access options based on your needs.
Can I add insulation?
Yes. Insulation and condensation-control options are available on many building configurations. Your sales representative can help determine which option makes the most sense for your intended use.
Can I add lean-tos or covered areas?
Yes. Many building styles can be customized with lean-tos, enclosed side sections, covered work areas, porch-style openings, and other additions.
Can I customize the size and height?
Yes. Buildings are custom configured, so width, length, sidewall height, door sizes, and other dimensions can be adjusted around your vehicles, equipment, storage needs, or intended use.
Can these buildings be converted into living space?
Our buildings can be purchased as shells that customers may later finish or convert for other uses. Choice Metal Buildings does not perform residential conversions, and customers are responsible for verifying zoning, permitting, utilities, insulation, and code requirements for their intended use.
